Are you
having trouble viewing or downloading the Portable Document Format
(PDF) files above? This
section provides guidance on how to successfully access these documents.
Step 1: Determine if you have Adobe
Acrobat Reader version 3.0 or higher Information on this page is saved in PDF, or Portable
Document Format, and you must have the Adobe Acrobat
Viewer in order to view these files. You can determine if you
have Adobe Acrobat Viewer by searching your files/folders for "Adobe
Acrobat Reader". If you don't have this application, use this
link or the button on the right to go to the Adobe site and download
the Acrobat
Reader 4.0 5.6mb.
Step 2: To save/download PDF files to your hard drive:
1. Use your mouse to click on the link and the file should automaically download
to your harddrive, if not -
2. Use your mouse to "right click" on the file you wish to obtain. You
should see a menu with a "Save to..." or a "Save Target As" option. Choose
this option, and save the file to your computer (either a disk or your harddrive).
Step 3: To view PDF files in your
Browser: 1. If your computer is set up to automatically open up PDF
files in your browser, you will be able to view the file in a few
seconds. If this process takes longer than a
minute, you should go to Step 2. ATTENTION MAC USERS:
To download files:
1. Hold down the clicker on your mouse until a list of menu options appears.
2. From this menu option, choose the "Save to..." option, and save the file to
your computer (either a disk or your harddrive).
Step
4: To print PDF files you have opened in your browser (by following
Step 2):
1. Click on the Abobe print icon (underneath your browser
buttons) to print out the entire file. DO NOT select the PRINT option
from your Internet browser, because this action prints out only one
page of the file.
Step
5: If you are still having trouble downloading PDF files from the
SLC Web Site, ask yourself these questions:
1. Does your
company’s firewall allow the downloading of PDF files?
Your browser options may not allow for the downloading
of PDF files due to system security issues. You may need to contact
your systems support staff to find out if you can re-set your browser
options to accommodate PDF files. You may also obtain PDF files
by sending an E-mail to info@envirolite.co.uk
2. Are you
trying to open the PDF files in your browser?
You may be more successful if you save the files to your hard
drive and open them after exiting your Internet browser.
You are selecting the "print" option from
your browser. You must select the Adobe Print icon (underneath
your browser buttons) to print out the entire file.
4. "When
I click on the links to PDF files, I see gibberish. Why?"
Your browser is not configured to automatically
open PDF files. You
must follow Step 3 above to save these files to your hard drive and
open using Adobe
Acrobat Reader. |
